Applicants will be notified of any changes in rules.
The contest is open to all ages.
Talents may include (but not limited to) singing, dancing, instrumental music, skits, magic, comedy, martial arts, juggling, NO LIP-SYNCHING.
Applications will be received online at www.centennialstars.com/enter.
A limited number of contestants will be accepted into the competition and will be on a first-come, first-in basis.
Contestants must be amateur, and must not be professional performers. All applications will be reviewed to insure that the contestants are amateur.
A competition fee of $20, will be collected at the registration desk on June 23.
All competitors must register and prepare for competition between 3:30 and 4:15 at SANG on June 23.
Those who are part of a group act should submit their Participation Forms together.
Recommended length is 3 minutes; acts must be no more than 5 minutes.
In all cases, decisions of the judges are final and will not be open to discussion.
Absolutely no profanity or insensitive subject matter will be permitted.
Costumes must be appropriate for all age groups. This is a community event.
Acts are responsible for their own props and costumes.
All performances will be screened for appropriateness by the Centennial Stars Committee.
If your act requires recorded accompanying music, the music must be provided to the Centennial Stars Committee at the time of the auditions.
It is the participant’s responsibility to get the accompanying music back after the show.
Acts with any member under 18 must have a written consent from parents for each of the members. Consent forms will be available at the time of audition.
Contestants agree to allow their stories, video, audio and video recordings of contest to be used for promotional purposes of Centennial Stars and the Town of Onoway. No royalties will be given at any time for the use of these stories and recordings.
